One person was killed and another was injured in an early Sunday morning crash in Lexington County.

The crash happened around 7 a.m. on Old Dunbar Road, near Burroughs Avenue. A 2013 Chevrolet Malibu hit the back of a 2015 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, said Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell of the SC highway Patrol.
As a result of the collision, a passenger in the Malibu was killed. The driver of the Malibu was transported to Prisma Health Richland, Tidwell said. The driver or the passenger of the tractor-trailer were not injured.

The name of the person who died has not yet been released yet by the Lexington County Coroner pending notification of the family
