One person is dead after a car ran off the road and hit a house, Sunday.

The crash happened at 6:35 p.m. Sunday on SC 6 in Lexington County, according to Cpl Judd Jones of the S.C Highway Patrol.

The car was traveling west on when it went off the right side of the road, hit a ditch, and crashed into a house.

The driver of the car, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and died at the scene.
The collision is under investigation. The Lexington County Coroner’s Office is expected to release the name of the deceased later.
